Hello to you who is in the process of reading this,

I leave on Sunday to Israel and Palestine. I say goodbye to Edinburgh, i will be leaving her for two months.

I know its been a long time since I've written to you all but a lot has happened. and haven't had the time s...........ok ok i'm not very good at this thing called blogging because i hate writing. so therefore i hate blogging. this great feeling of lazy tiredness comes over me everytime my fingers hit the keys. i just want to punch myself in the face everytime my fingers touch the plastic of the keyboard. notice: i've sent nothing but pictures. that is no coincidence.

alright, update: well since i've last talked to you a lot has happened we have held two parties in our house just to get connected with the art scene. we call them BYO Partys. Which stands for Bring Your Own Party. basically everyone brings something whether a song, a painting to hang, a film (thats my role, i run the film room), or even just food. our last party was about two days ago and we got shut down by the police because the band that came was too loud and our neighbors were not very happy. so that was amazing.

good news: me and three others put on a fundraising gig to help support our trip to Israel and we earned 250 pounds which is amazing! we thank and our very gracious to someone who was very helpful and probably donated most of that money.

so anyways we leave on sunday night, board a bus to london which travels all night (10 hours) where we wait all the next day for our plane to Tel Aviv which leaves at about 6pm. its gonna be great (sarcasm felt in this sentence). We have also have found out what we are going to be doing besides orphanage work and teaching english. we will also be involved in a sports ministry where we mix together Palestinian and Jewish children to team together and have fun. We also will be doing some music stuff.

since the gig and the party we have been quite busy preparing for the trip. I also just ask for more prayers for us as some of us still don't have the proper finances for the trip and we leave on sunday! so just as i have said to a lot of you, thank you for your continuing prayers. i have already felt the definite change in my life since i have left oh so long ago in September. but before i know i will be arriving in that busy LAX airport seeing all your lovely faces again. i'm back home August 27th in case some of you were wondering.

Israel and Palestine

Hello everyone,

It seems by chance I end up doing about an update a month. Thats not bad. Well what has happened since the last one? About most of my family came and visited that was nice. It was good to see them and sad not to see all of them. We had a good time and it was great to get away from YWAM for a little while and relax as a tourist. Here is who I spent holidays with minus Alison who I don't have a picture of by herself, which I'm sure she is probably happy about:

After the fam left we got right back into lectures with Identity and Personality, which I found really interesting. Apparently I have Extraverted Intuition with Introverted Thinking, which probably is translated into someone who is a genious.

And to the big news we are headed to Israel and Palestine for the months of April and May. We leave April 2nd. So far all we know, is that we will be working in an orphanage and teaching English as well. There is going to be much more, we just haven't learned what that is yet. So for those of you who have been praying and to those who want to pray, we will be raising the money as a team to go. Which works out to about 9,000 pounds at about 1,000 pounds a person. So your prayers would be much appreciated.

Good news! I get internet and a phone line on Monday. So hopefully I won't be so out of touch with the rest of the world. I will be honest with you though, I'm not really liking this "blog" thing. It has already deleted one of my blogs without me knowing it. You remember the one about Kilmarnock.

Ok Ok. update.

Happy Thanksgiving first of all. I had a great Thanksgiving, we had a big meal with a South African turkey, it was good. These aren't the greatest pics, but its all I have:

Also I'm going to be volunteering at a cafe called The Forest. Its a non-profit cafe in that all the workers work there for free to keep the food and drinks cheap and also to keep other services free like a music studio, a dark room, an art studio, and other things. Also what else, um, well it would take a very long time to type everything that I'm learning here so I won't. Just to let you know, every week God has been definitally opening my eyes to a lot of things.

For those of you who did not get my bulletin on myspace. I've made it here in Edinburgh and I am surviving. Today we found out some semi-bad news. It doesn't look like YWAM Edinburgh is going to get the house there trying to get. This sucks because the house is pretty sweet. The reason why I say it is semi-bad news is because if we are sent to live in different accomadation and are forced to travel to go recieve our training, they're going to buy us bus passes. This is good because it would mean that I could get around the city without worrying about money. But all of this is still in process. So at the present time I'm staying with a very nice family. They have four kids who I just got done beating the crap out of in video games. Man, I'm good!

Also we found out that our outreach location choices are between Israel and Cambodia. If either of those don't work out, they are also looking at Belgium and France. I'm very happy with these choices.
